Family Law Solicitor

We have an immediate opportunity for a family law solicitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years PQE practising across the full range of family law matters but with a particular focus on contact and divorce cases.  

Experience conducting written and oral advocacy in the Sheriff Courts and experience of instructing Counsel in the Court of Session is essential.  

We have an international and diverse client base and are regularly instructed to act for a wide variety of family law matters including high value financial provision cases, Hague Convention applications and international adoption matters.

This role will involve:

• Meeting with clients, providing in-depth advice independently and preparing minutes of agreement (pre and post-nup);

• Drafting Initial Writs, written submissions, affidavits and other documents for litigation;

• Working collaboratively with colleagues including advising on the family law aspects of immigration/criminal/general dispute resolution matters;
Candidates must demonstrate excellent written communication skills and work together as part of a team.
