Mentor Beqiri

Mentor Beqiri, is an Attorney at Law and Counsel from Pristina, Kosovo. In Kosova Law Firm, Mr. Beqiri acts as Managing Partner and Attorney at Law. Mr. Beqiri received his Bachelor of Law from University of Pristina, and continued his Master studies on Criminal Law, at University of Pristina. Mr. Beqiri is a lawyer with experience before local courts and international tribunals. With enough years of trial experience, Mr. Beqiri has a national and international practice that focuses on representation of individuals, corporations and governments in complex commercial, civil, international criminal and arbitration cases. Mr. Beqiri also represents clients in local and international litigation, including commercial, civil, white-collar criminal and international criminal cases. Mr. Beqiri represents corporations and partnerships, as well as their directors, officers and partners in breach of contract and fiduciary duty claims, regulatory matters, trade secrets claims, fraud and negligence suits, and a variety of other claims. An experienced trial lawyer, Mr. Beqiri currently represents the former Head of
Parliament of Kosovo and Spokesperson of KLA, Mr. Jakup Krasniqi, in his international war crimes trial at Kosovo Specialist Chambers, in The Hague. In 2017, Mr. Beqiri was a regular court monitor of the war crimes trials that were held all over Kosovo back then. In the same year, Mr. Beqiri started his work at the Basic Court of Pristina, and for a year, he worked with Judges of all departments of the Court, therefore gained experience on court hearings and trials. In 2018, Mr. Beqiri started his collaboration with Mrs. Natasa Kandic who has been nominated for 2018 Nobel Peace Prize. This collaboration lasted for more than two years, and Mr. Beqiri helped Mrs. Kandic for seeking the truth and justice for the victims from the war in Kosovo by researching for more than 2000 victims throughout his work at Humanitarian Law Centre. In 2019, Mr. Beqiri started his own law office, which was very successful and had tremendous results on representing successfully high-profile cases in Kosovo. Mr. Beqiri, often has been called as a legal expert at Kosovo’s television programs, to shed light on the most open legal debates in the country, especially in regard of constitutional area.
In July 2021, Mr. Beqiri was appointed as Arbitrator with four years mandate, at Permanent Tribunal Arbitration in Kosovo. He is at the service of the parties in Kosovo and abroad, to settle disputes outside the court, in order for the procedures to be as efficient as possible.

Mr. Beqiri is fluent in Albanian and English languages, whilst he is intermediate at Spanish and Serbian languages.
